We’re thrilled to welcome you to My Nomad Space! We’re Danny and Sylvie 👋 We’ve been digital nomads since March 2022. The first picture here was taken the day before we set off on our journey!
Over the past few years, we’ve opened our laptops all over the world, from Southeast Asia to South America, staying in all kinds of accommodations along the way, from beachside bungalows, guesthouses and hotel rooms to one-bedroom apartments, hostels, colivings and shared apartments.
A little more about us: Danny, who originates from England, has a background in the travel industry, as well as experience in content writing. He actually built this site from scratch! Meanwhile, Sylvie is from France and has spent the past nine years working in marketing.
As you can probably tell, we both love to travel. Danny has visited over 55 countries, while Sylvie is close to catching up! You can follow our travels on YouTube.
Throughout our time working around the world, one issue that occasionally kept coming back to haunt us – reliable, decent Wi-Fi at our accommodation. And even the general standard of numerous places we stayed. We know you can relate (that’s probably why you’re here!).
Then there’s the endless searches for a suitable place, followed by the uncertainty about whether it will actually meet your needs and the frustration of it not working out, forcing you to scramble for somewhere else. We’d love to know how many times you’ve searched “Wi-Fi” and “internet” in the reviews section too!
So we browsed the internet, looking for a platform that listed every kind of trusted stay with solid reviews and decent Wi-Fi, perfect for people who work and travel, such as digital nomads and business travellers. There was nothing that truly gave us what we were looking for; only top-reviewed stays, all kinds of accommodation options, community-led and verified download and upload internet speeds provided.
That is when we thought enough was enough. We decided to build our own, aiming to make it the world’s most trusted platform for finding all kinds of work-friendly stays with verified Wi-Fi speeds. Danny: I have two. Tokyo, Japan and La Digue, Seychelles.
Sylvie: I have a few too. Bangkok, La Digue and Tioman Island in Malaysia.
Danny: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The energy, the food, the people. What a place!
Sylvie: Bangkok, Lima and Ho Chi Minh City – I love all the cafes!
Danny: The freedom.
Sylvie: It allows me to live my life to the fullest.
Danny and Sylvie: The best we ever had was in Seoul, South Korea. Some lightning-fast speeds in that city!
Danny and Sylvie: We love a place that comes with a swimming pool and gym. And great Wi-Fi, of course!
Danny and Sylvie: It’s the platform we always wished existed, and we can build it all together!
The name “My Nomad Space” was chosen to reflect exactly what our platform stands for. “Space” captures the essence of what we provide; a place to discover your next ideal accommodation, the space you need to work comfortably at your stay and a shared space to help and connect with a community of working travellers about accommodation.
“Nomad” fits naturally because our platform is built for people who travel for work or work while they travel, from digital nomads to business travellers and anyone making work happen on the move. And “My” emphasises that this platform is created for you; your stays, your connections, your listings, your feedback and your experiences.
At its core, My Nomad Space helps you find trusted remote work stays worldwide – no matter what type of setup you prefer – backed by verified Wi-Fi speeds, download and upload, so you can work confidently anywhere. Wherever you go, this is your space.
