Ko Lanta is served by Krabi International Airport (KBV), located north of the island, with access via minivans, private transfers, taxis and ferry‑linked transport services.
Ko Lanta has no train service. The nearest major railway hub is Trang Railway Station on the mainland, offering southern line connections across Thailand.
Long‑distance and regional buses operate mainly from Krabi Bus Terminal and Trang Bus Terminal, with onward minivan connections to Ko Lanta via the island’s bridge crossings.
Ko Lanta has a relaxed cafe and coworking scene, especially around Long Beach, Klong Dao and Old Town, supported by remote workers, divers and creative communities.
